This is the flat type crossmember used by GM trucks and SUV from around 75 or 76.
GM use this flat style crossmember with on side bolting to the outside of the frame and the other has a brace that is rivited on.
The side with the riveted brace bolts to the top and bottom of the frame.

This crossmember was used for the SM465 NP205 combination with the figure 8 pattern adaptor.
