79+ cases have a case bore hole of 2.250" for the front
counter shaft bearing.
The front countershaft bearing ID size is
1.400".
NOTE: early cases 78 and
before use a 2.440" bearing ID and a larger bore in the case to match
bearing. Additionally, the early case uses a 1.338" front ID bearing for
the counter shaft.
Good useable GM
SM465 empty case.
These cases are the
same for 2wd and 4x4.
