This is the flat type crossmember used by GM trucks and SUV from around 73-87.
GM use this flat style crossmember for the NP205 figure 8 pattern adaptor and the NP203 transfer cases.
GM was using up this flat style after changing to the NP208 transfer case and used a special long foot round pattern 6 bolt adaptor until they ran out of the flat style.
