This C6 input shaft was used only on some select 66-71 transmissions.
It is a 31 spline count for both the torque converter and the forward drum end.
This is what was called an early style.
NOT all 66-71 used the 31 spline foward drum so you MUST verify your spline count needed before you order.
NOTE: this shaft is 31 spline on both ends and requires a matching 31 spline forward drum.
